About the Faire-
Aimed at folks who want to play the old way- when RenFest was about Gathering Friends together!
May Faire is set (- for our SCA folks-) at the turn of the 13th and 14th century.The time of Wallace and Robert the Bruce- Marco Polo and Niall FarTrader. Garb from other periods and Fantasy are more than welcome...
Niall Far Trader is returned home to his Shire of Wyrmhill, a small Holding deep in the wild mountains of Tal Dagore. He has journeyed from Far Cathay, bringing with him Merchants and Traders from strange and exotic lands- perhaps even unknown and mystical places and Times. Celebrating his safe return ,Wyrmhill is hosting a joyous Gather and Tournament of Roses the first weekend of May (5th,6th and 7th)!
All lovers of Ren and the Medieval are invited. (Weapons must be peace tied and registered with the Reeves- )
(Basic Garb and Loaner Amtgard foam Weapons will be available)
Come join us: Merrymaking, Role- Play,Song, a Live Play- Battle to your hearts content on the Ditchfield-Finger Food and Feast -Awards and Intrigue at Court- an Assassian's Gambit , Mathem and Murder At the Inn- and Oh! What the Merchants have- Garb and Weapons, Jewelry and Goblets- Wings for the Fae Folke- and Herbs,Soaps and Plants from the Gardens of Hawkewinde Herbhome

There will be a Tournament of Roses, and the skilled warriors of House Lionesse will give a Battle Exhibition. Meanwhile on the more cerebral side, the Arts and Science Competetion will be open to all-
judging by Amtgard Rules
(There will Spinsters and Herbalists
showing their Skills for all to learn.
For the Small ones , there is a petting Zoo, Face Painting- Jesters and Clowns- Puppetry and Mime... and the Inn offers cool drinks and shade to rest a Mother's weary Feet in , Tho late of an E'en it might turn to Rougher Fare...

Directions:
From Harrison Arkansas take hwy South to 206 -(there will be signs from here on in -it will be approx 6 miles from this junction)Turn RIGHT on 206- go to the water tower -just this side of the water tower turn LEFT onto Erbie- Cut-Off Rd.- follow it til it runs into a "T" - at a stop sign. Turn RIGHT - go downhill to where the pavement ends (you now have about a mile-1.2- left) There is fork - go LEFT DOWNHILL around the "S" curve and across the low water bridge- up a loooong hill and on top there will be a fork marked "57"- turn LEFT and it will be the SECOND drive on the RIGHT.

Notes

Camping: Primitive campsites with fire rings-portapotties- only one source of drinking water.
Costumes: Set at the turn of the 13th and 14th century- other garb is most welcome- basic loaner garb is available, but we will have crafters there who have fabulous costumes for sale!
Picnic: Welcome or join our Feast- for a fee-, The Inn is a cool, shaded area to stop and rest -cool off and visit or grab a cool drink.
Animals: Leashed and must have proof of shots
Alcohol: Sorry- Dry camp- (Dry county)
Weapons: No firearms- steel must be Peace Tied and regitered with the Reeves at the Gate-any weapon drawn will be confiscated until you leave.
