The featured castle for May 12 is;
Malahide
http://www.malahidecastle.com/malahidecastle/default.asp

Malahide has a reputation for being haunted.
http://www.malahidecastle.com/malahidecastle/ghosts.asp
It was occupied by the same family from 1185 to 1973.

Missed this yesterday. You know you got me with the ghost!
Don't forget to smell the roses, but watch out for the thorns!

If you look at the upper picture, you'll see a large tree to the left of the castle.  This is it:

Very impressive, and nothing like that around where I lived in N. Texas, or here in Houston.

Yeah, it looked right at home on the grounds of a castle.  It would take a pretty big neighborhood lot (and home) to handle/balance a tree that size over here.  ;)

There's a similar tree on the grounds of Leeds Castle near Maidstone, Kent, UK:

Here are some other shots I took at Leeds Castle:

Huzzah!  My favorite Chateau, Chenonceau.

I've put up a webpage with some of the photos we took last March whilst there... everyone enjoy!

More later, if I get the chance.  I don't have all the photos on this computer...

Speaking of big trees...
