Harridslevgaard is a castle in Skovby Parish, Denmark.

Haræslef mentioned as far back as King Valdemar second Victory Court Roll of 1231 as falling under the Crown palaces. In 1589 Councillor Breide Rantzau took over the former medieval castle, which he completely rebuilt, and in 1606 became the current renaissance building.

Holsteinborg Castle is located on a coastal bay in Denmark.

The current castle was built in 1598 on what had been a moated and fortified farm or manor house. Local legend, though unsubstantiated, claims that is was a Viking stronghold before the twelfth century.

Karksi Castle is near the town of Karksi Nuia in Viljandi County in southern Estonia.

The first time that the name Karski appears in records is the conquest by the Teutonic Order in 1224. Immediately afterwards the Teutonic Knights constructed the castle. The church on the site was built about 1773. Though now dry, the moat may have had water when originally completed.

Château de la Roche-Jagu is a fortress that was built at the top of the left bank of Trieux, In France.

La Roche-Jagu was built early in the fifteenth century. Its location at the top of the left bank of Trieux which is very steep, allows for an exceptional view of the countryside including the river as it used to oversee.

Ballymarkahan Castle is located in County Clare, Republic of Ireland.

There are not many sources referencing this castle or its build date. But the style and construction method shows that it was probably built in the early 14th century. In one record the existing castle is mention in 1580 as the property of John MacNamara.

This castle was probably built in the early fourteenth century. At the lower levels it is almost a twin to Ballymarkahan. In the seventeenth century it was sold off by the Earl of Shannon. Aghamarta farm now houses a cookery school in nearby modern buildings.

Château de Blanquefort is located in the town of Blanquefort in France.

In the eleventh century, possibly the tenth century, a stone keep was built of rectangular plan, is the oldest part of the castle of Blanquefort. A lord named Akelmus Willelm Affurt, second lord of Blanquefort, is reported in a charter of 1028 - 1032.

Schloss Affaltrach is located in the heart of Affaltrach, Germany.

Affaltrach Castle was first mentioned in a deed of sale for a nearby vineyard. At the time it belonged to the Counts of Lowenstein. The Order of St. John acquiredthe castle in 1278 by way of Gottfried of Löwenstein possessions in Affaltrach, 1289, the Order also received the right of patronage over the church in Affaltrach. The castle was heavily modified in the 1800's.

The Harburg Castle on Harburg Castle Island on the river port is the oldest architectural testimony of today's Hamburg district of Hamburg-Harburg, Germany.

The first recorded mention of the castle is 1133 when Horeburg is referred to as the castle in the marsh. Findings in the area suggest a stronghold on this island since at least 1000. Centuries of rebuilding have left the castle looking very little like the original stone structure.
