Hammershus is located 74 metres (243 ft) above sea level on Hammeren, the northern tip of the Danish island of Bornholm.

The castle was constructed in the beginning of the 136th century as a royal residence for Valdemar II of Denmark. It was later occupied by the Bishop of Lund.

Purtse is a castle and village in Ida-Viru County in northeastern Estonia.

The castle contains elements of Medieval fortress and Renaissance palace. The last construction was done about 1533 by Jakob Van Taube (Tuve).

Château de Morimont is a ruined castle in the Alsace region of France.

The first documented mention of the castle is from 1271 when the Count of Ferrette made an oblation to the bishop of Basel. It was occupied by, and takes its name from, the Morimont family, vassals of the Ferrettes and later the Habsburgs.

Delves Hall, also known as Doddington Castle, is a fortified structure in the civil parish of Doddington, Cheshire, England.

This fortified tower was built by Sir John Delves in 1364, on the site of a former moated manor house.

Château de Leynes is an old fortified castle in the commune of Leynes, France.

The castle is not recorded until a document of 1423 mentions it for the first time in connection with the civil war between the Armagnacs and the Burgundians. But it may have been built as early as 1120 after the abbey which owned it was confirmed by the Pope in 1119.

Château de Vinzelles is located in the commune Vinzelles in Saone-et-Loire, France.

In the twelfth century and thirteenth century the land, part of Macon County , is owned by the family of Vinzelles. The oldest part of the castle dates from the early twelfth century.

Lidzbark Warminski is a castle and town in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in Poland.

The town was originally an Old Prussian settlement known as Lecbarg until being conquered in 1240 by the Teutonic Knights, who called it Heilsberg. They built the castle and moat originally as a Teutonic stronghold. In 1306 it became the seat for the Bishopric of Warmia and the castle keep was considerably altered and added on to starting about 1330.

The Lobdeburg is a ruined castle in Lobeda , Germany.

The castle was built sometime in the early 11th century by the Lords of Auhausen on the edge of Wöllmisse, strategically, to guard the Saale valley and the Rodatal. In the time of the Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa, the Auhausener adopted the name "of Lobdeburg" and were feudatories.

The Castle of Eger is a castle in Eger, Hungary.

The first castle was built on the high hill named Várhegy at Fels?tárkány near Eger.

During the Mongol invasion in 1241, this castle was ruined, and the bishop of Eger moved it to a rocky hill in the city of Eger.

Longthorpe Tower is a 14th century, three-storey tower in the village of Longthorpe, England.

At the start of the 14th century, Robert Thorpe built the tower as an extension to an existing fortified manor house. The tower is best known for its English medieval wall paintings, carried out around 1330.

Mirjan Fort is located on the west coast of the Uttara Kannada district in the southern Indian state of Karnataka.

According to a Nawayath asper Ibn_Battuta book this fort was first built by Nawayath Sultanates early 1200. It came under the Vijayanagara Empire and then the fort was refurbished in 1608.

Qasr-e Qand, also known as Qa?r Qand, Barq?n and Borgan Is a deserted castle in the city of Qasr-e Qand, in Nik Shahr County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran.

Castle Lishen is located in County Cork, Ireland.

Probably built between 1490 and 1550, Castle Lishen doesn't show up in records until 1570. John FitzEdmond FitzGerald is reported as owner of the castle ans Sheriff of the County.

Castello di Cly is a medieval castle of the Aosta Valley which is situated in the hamlet of Saint-Denis, Italy.

Castello di Melendugno or rather the tower, now called D'Amely baronial palace, was built on the edge of the ancient walls of the town in the province of Lecce, Italy.

The fifteenth century castle was built on the designs of famous military engineer Gian Giacomo. I was commissioned by Pompey Paladini , seventh Baron of Melendugno and Lizzanello.
