Hollenburg is a castle near Kottmannsdorf in Carinthia, Austria.

One Swiker, Lord of Hollenburg in the Duchy of Carinthia was first documented as a witness in the 1142 deed of the foundation of Viktring Abbey. The present castle was probably around the year 1100 built by the Margrave of Styria.

Cortewalle Castle is a moated castle in Beveren in East Flanders, Belgium.

The castle dates back to the 15th century, and is one of the oldest in the Waasland.

The Château de Grand-Bigard is a castle located in Grand-Bigard , a borough of Dilbeek, in Belgium.

The construction of the castle began in the early 12th century, about 1110, on the authority of Almaric Bigard, the first lord of Bigard.

Vranduk Castle is in the village of Vranduk in the municipality of Doboj, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The first mention of the town was in 1410; and the castle was probably built not much later after that royal visit. The castle itself forms the heart of the current village on a sharp spine of the mountain overlooking the river.

Glavas Dinaric Fortress is a fortress located in the continental part of Dalmatia, Croatia.

Hukvaldy Castle is on a mountain ridge overlooking the village of Huckvaldy in the Czech Republic.

The castle has been rebuilt at least five times over 700 years, evolving from a small early gothic castle to a baroque fortress. It was first built in 1260-1270 by Sir Frank from Príbor. He was the son of the colonizer Arnold from family of Huckeswagen.

Hvidkilde Castle is located in the south of the island of Funen, Denmark.

The earliest reference to a castle is from 1480 when it was owned by Claus Rønnow. But the buil date is estimated to much earlier since it was a named manor as early as 1374. The current structure was much modified in 1780. The moat was partilally filled in to accomodate the modern highway.

Bowes Castle is in the village of Bowes in County Durham, England.

Bowes Castle was built in northern England, on the site of a former Roman fort called Lavatrae which had guarded the Stainforth Pass that carried a Roman road through the Pennines from Stainmore to Carlisle. The footprint visible in satellite photos is a combination of the old Roman fort and the outer walls of Henry II's castle.

Koluvere Bishop's Castle is in the village of Koluvere in Kullamaa Parish, Laane County in western Estonia.

There is not much information available on Koluvere except that it was a castle of the Bishopric of Osel-Wiek and was probably built 1390-1392.

Chateau de Josselin, also known as the Chateau de Rohan, is in the commune of Josselin in the Morbihan department in Brittany in north-western France.

Guethenoc, vicomte of Porhoet, Rohan and Guemene, began to build the first castle on the site around the year 1008, choosing a rocky promontory overlooking the valley of the Oust.

Château de Conches-en-Ouche is a castle in the commune of Conches-en-Ouche in of France.

The start of construction dates back to 1034 and Roger I of Tosny. The castle was captured by Philip II of France in 1199.

Burg Garz is located on the east side Garz beside the manor house in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin District of Germany.

The village of Garz documented for the first time called in 1364, but is probably much older. It's appearance in records is likely due to the building of the first stone tower of the castle.

Burg Vondern stands in Vondern Oberhausen district Osterfeld in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

Die Herren, or Lords, of Vonderen are first mentioned already in 1162. The castle itself, however, only appears in documents in 1266, as the residence of Gerhard de Vondere. Of the castle itself, much has been changed, but the basic structure remains and even a portion of the original moat.

Somlo Castle is located at the crest of a hill in North West Hungary.

The castle was built there in the twelfth century in response to Mongol invasions. The earliest surviving written record is from a Royal visit in 1352.
