Château d'Étobon is a ruined castle in the commune of Étobon in the Haute-Saône département of France.

The 11th century castle was burned and destroyed by the Duke of Furstemberg in 1519. Ulrich, Duke of Württemberg, recovered the castle but did not believe he could repair it. But most of the desctruction was done by local villagers who carried off the dressed stones.

Cloughoughter Castle is a ruined circular castle, situated on a small island in Lough Oughter, in Ireland.

Sigulda Medieval Castle was built by the Livonian Brothers of the Sword in 1207 as a castellum type fortress. It was later rebuilt into a convent type building when the Livonians were incorporated into the Teutonic Order.

Sanem Castle is located in the village of Sanem in south-western Luxembourg.

Chiang Mai sometimes written as "Chiengmai" or "Chiangmai", is the largest and most culturally significant city in northern Thailand.

King Mengrai founded the Citadel of Chiang Mai in 1296 on the location of an older city of the Lawa people called Wiang Nopburi. Although some say the walls and moat are only about 200 years old, excavations at the northeast corner of the old wall demonstrated that the current wall is closer to 700 years old and was built on an even older mound and rubble from earlier walls. Tha Pae gate has been restored. The perfect square you see on google earth is the walls of the citadel.

Castle of Vimianzo, also known as Martelo Towers is located at the entrance of the town of Vimianzo, Spain.

It is in very good condition, and retains part of its thirteenth century origins, although most of it belongs to the centuries XIV and XV. Through most of history the castle was associated with the Moscoso family.
