we need volunteers on weekends on the site for the following:

cutting roots
trimming trees
burning brush
painting booths (yes, the church too), signs, etc
dreaming (no, no...that's my job full time)

also need a volunteer to coordinate these weekend crews.  would need to meet with me weekly on site to get a scope of work.

help...i just looked on the website and we have 73 days remaining before the faire opens.

a suggestion- might be useful to have each weekend a visible 'volunteer corner'... at most SCA events, they have a little table set up where you can go and ask what needs to be done- that way, people who get a wild hair can just show up and help. Also useful if groups clearing thier clan spots finish early or want to add an effort to the grounds as well...

My plan, starting just after Jan 1st, is to be onsite just about every weekend.

My travel trailer is parked by the admin building (you pass by it when entering through the Butterfly Gate).

I will get the worklist from RenGypsy and have it available for any volunteers to review and sign on to take care of. I may even have a stockpile of liquid refreshment for the end-of-the-day (but donations to the stockpile will always be welcome). I just won't have food and munchies available, but I have a full kitchen available for those who need to cook items.

I plan on coming up Friday evening with my dogs/furry children and leaving Sunday afternoon. I'll have a fire pit burning in the evenings of Friday and Saturday, so if you are onsite and need to get laid back, come on by. I can even setup the DVD player and TV outside and show a movie or two (bring your own popcorn for my microwave).

I wish it can be also done during the week. My only transportation is my son and I know he would to help.
