raevyncait

mug strap & pewtwer tankard
bag of holding for money, keys, ibuprofen, spork, and other small items
rectangular pouch for camera & sunblock
fabric pouch carrying favors
favor sash
wooden bowl on a mugs strap
feather fan
a couple of skirt hikes

If I'm not working sales for a musical act, a couple of strings of bells

If I'm not actually using the tankard at the moment, and it's hanging off my belt, it looks like more hanging from the belt because of all the mugbling hanging from the tankard

Pewter mug, and pouches.  Noting terribly spectacular unless one looked inside my pouches.  This year I am working part time and staying on site at Bristol, so I actually have a pair of earphones (to use during setup prior to gate) in my pouch. Otherwise, tip money, notepad and pen, something to make me smell better, and, while I am working, my signature eyeball sunglasses.

When I feel like it I may have a timepiece, tail, and fan on my belt too.

Hmm...

As of last year (on my rope belt):
Rosary
Pouch for cellphone, ID, money, etc.

As of this year:
Rosary
Pouch for cellphone, ID, money, etc.
Pouch for book (haven't decided if it will "be" a personal book or a "copy of the Scriptures", etc.)
Quill (If I can think of a holder)
Ink (if I can get some ideas on how to work it)
Water contained in my leather wine skin. (Heat isn't so nice to large folk.)

We've got a writer character at Bristol this year who carries around a small handheld writing surface.  He's got a little pot or two of ink inset into it, as well as a quill holder and a sheaf of parchment.  It's fairly compact and probably relatively light (likely made of pine or some other light wood) as he weilds it one-handed like a painter's pallette.  Might be a possible option for you?

I know that there's been some pics posted of him in the various albums linked in the www.bristolboard.com forums.  I seem to have managed not to have saved one of him yet.  :(  I've got a request out for a link, which I'll post here once there's some response.

It appears that I may need to butter up my craftsmen friends and see if I can't work something like this out.

Thanks, friend!

We're currently in the process of putting together my nephew's outfit and gear. We nixed the idea of him having a sword since it would look stupid having a 5 ft. tall boy dragging around a 4 ft. long sword. So here is what we have planned:

1. A custom belt and baldric made of the same material. Since he's 11, normal baldrics seem to be way too wide. We'll get two belts and have one of the local craftsmen to create the baldric from the second belt. Here's the style we liked the best:

2. A pewter and brass tankard

Note: All weapons will be "Peace-Tied" with Teflon zip ties.

3. A flanged Italian Mace hung off the baldric

4. A Venetian stiletto

5. A traditional solid wood crossbow mounted on the back and supported by modified tankard straps.

6. A small clip-on pull cord emergency siren ('ya never can tell......)

I just got a shiny new bell to hang on my belt! *jingle*  :)

OK. here  goes,

FAIRY

-small glass cork top bottle of fairy dust (glitter)
-small dagger
-leather strap holding pewter goblet
-leather pouch (holding money, keys, cell)

plan to add more shiny objects :)

GYPSY

same as above but small dagger is in cleavage and medium size dagger on belt (nix the fairy dust)

LADY  or when carrying my grandnieces

nothing! everything is in a basket wrapped in scraps of fabric used on prior ren-garb. (My version of a 1500's diaper bag)

By the way,  what is the purpose of a fox tail?

My belt is new this year, so there isn't much on it. Just a pouch for my phone and money and mundane whatnots, and a fan. One of my goals for this year is to buy a mug, and with that I'd need a mug strap, so that'll add a few pounds. I'd love some sort of pointy weaponry, but I don't have any.  :'( There's always the slightest of chances that I could borrow one of Lady Elizabeth's, but I still don't believe her that you can get away with just a tip on the blade. It needs to be peace-tied, I'm telling you....

Lady Elizabeth

Well it just goes to show that I have my own sheathed dagger as you know plus there was one my father had once upon a time. I was digging through david's cave and found it. That little bugger has been hiding it from me. It's a nice one too. I remember having seeing it on the wall in my father's Armory room but I didn't think Kathy mailed it to us with the rest of the swords. Perhaps you should consider investing in one of your own this year.

Saoirse_Anam

That bugger...I'm not suprised that he has things cached in that hole of his. Since you already have one, what say you to just letting me BORROW it? Just for Opening Day. Please?  :)
