Wow that is an old pic thats from '05

But newer than "Early 21st Century Kat"

And both were taken in years, as with a few others, before I actually knew you by name.

So...what's the deal with Lord Randolph's Chain mail booth, parade and fashion show??  I never seem to get to actually see it or the crowd - somebody will just walk by in a wicked-awesome chain mail outfit, and someone else will say, "Oh...she's from Lord Randolph's fashion show...(nod, nod, wink, wink)".

I feel we are getting left out of something important here...

There is a Show that is put on at booth 22. Chainmail fashions. Lord Randolph is the owner and creator of the wonderful Chainmail that we all wear. After the parade we head back to the booth about 12:25-12:30 and we then put on a show. We dance, and shimmy, and spin and not in the most modest of ways. It is an adult show.

As Lord Randolph has stated at the conclusion of at least one show.

It takes place on a balcony about 11 feet up so that everyone can see and we rotate through the dancers from most clothed to least clothed. It is all fun and all volunteer based. So anyone over 18 can join (unless there is parent consent). You do however get to the shop before 11 am to be able to dress in the chain and be a part of the show that day. It happens to be quite a bit of fun and quite thrilling to get up there in front of all those people and show 'em what you've got.

Viewing angles, shall we say, vary. But for that shot above? I've actually gotten a compliment for it from someone who thought it was a set, not a telephoto snapshot.

The show is not in any programs it is simply something that Lord Randolph does because he can. So come watch and cheer us on right after the parade.

Oh, also, immediately after the show all of the dancers file down to what is called the Naked Tree out in front of the shop for a Photo Op. Quite a few hang around for that as well.........

Really? Is that what it is called? Well, I suppose it is accurate, especially for the rump shooting though I've never gone in for those shots. I prefer more off angle as in

Tell you what; I'll start building a gallery in my pbase account of my shots of the place over the years.  DONE! http://www.pbase.com/dt_masters/lr It's an assortment of shots that I have on the net from over the years, though it's not all the shots that I have. Further, it focuses only on the shoppe, not where the dancers might be encountered elsewhere in the faire.

Finally, while I believe that "Comraderie"

was before the establishment of Lord Randolph, I didn't come across his show until the 21st century and it was shot in the early 90's, I do get the feeling that it was shot in the vincinity, in the spirit, of the Naked Tree. (They were posed for a photographer that they were facing, I took my shot from the side).

COOOoooool!

Yes, those are the outfits I have seen!  And now, it all makes sense -

Last year, we went by that shop right after opening one day, and a nice older lady was showing me some hip jewelry.  She then asked me if I would be in her fashion show later.  I had no idea what she was talking about - now I do!

I wish I were brave enough to join in.  I wear some racy outfits (Ha! see my avatar), but it's mostly a thing between Lord Scott and I (S/O).  Of course, others see us as well, and it's always flattering to have someone want their picture with you, or to get hit on by some drunken (obviously) young varlet 10 years younger than you ( ;D ), but to actually do as E of A said -

"We dance, and shimmy, and spin and not in the most modest of ways..."

- would seem to be taking to a whole new level  :o

Question - would there be anything you could model for them with your garb still on?  I know that sounds like a kill-joy sort of attitude, but the garb I'm thinking of is murder to get on and off, and to be honest, it doesn't leave a lot to the imagination as it is...

Of corse, you can always wear more garb under the chain and with the chain, here are a few links as the images are going to be too big and many to show you how clothed or unclothed you can be for this.

Also if you go to Randolph and tell him that you still want to wear all your other garb as well as the chain, he will find something for you that will work.

So there are quite a few, no matter how much clothes or how little, you can work it over existing garb. :)

Sadly, life circumstances are such right now that I don't have the time to get to TRF on October 25th and 26th. I'm really bummed.  :( Hopefully I will still be able to go in November.

Is this just Saturday and Sunday or does this include Thanksgiving Friday as well?
