You place new feastware on the top of your Christmas list, and your significant other knows exactly what you're talking about, and where to get it.

this is one of your favorite topics to read on the forum. You also find yourself nodding and going yep, I understand that perfectly :)

When you wear your pirate boots to work because the forecast called for rain, sleet, and some snow.  Then somebody who is a newer employee at work says "nice boots" and somebody else responds "They're Renee's pirate boots that she wears when she goes to Renaissance festivals."  And she says it so matter-of-factly that it's just a given that's what I wear.

Got faerie dust?

If you end up spending at least ten minutes explaining yourself after inquiring about a mundane's boots (and saying that you were interested in buying a pair to wear at faire) :D It was so normal to me to talk about attending faire in garb and character, that it felt odd to talk to someone who didn't understand :D

... You go hunting and use the the wool cloak you made for faire to keep warm.

Dayna

You use your faire boots all winter, in the ice and snow, because they're warmer and more waterproof than any commercial winter boots can ever hope to be.  For the same reason, you wear your faire cloak as your winter coat, since it's much warmer and more practical than every down-filled parka you've ever tried on, and when's the last time you saw a frozen sheep?!  p.s., I live in Minnesota.

When you take out your other pair of faire boots to wear to work (2 1/2 months after closing gate), and they are covered in Bristol dust, but you don't clean them off before wearing them, because, hey, the dust comes from FAIRE.
