Okay, in order to answer the multiple questions about access into the Patrons campgrounds from the Faire, I may have to ramble a bit. Please bear with me on this.

In order to open all the access gates within the Faire area to allow vendors to depart, the Faire staff has to ensure that all Patrons have left the Faire area. We perform a detailed walk-thru, checking all booths and restrooms, asking all Patron to please depart. Our measure of completion is that all vehicles are out of the Faire parking lot. If any vehicles remain, we have to believe that Patrons are still within the Faire area, so that we cannot open the gates to allow vendors to depart. In addition, we check everyone in the Pub area to get the Patrons who are camping out of the Faire area and back into the Patrons campgrounds. This takes alot of time, over which, the vendors are still waiting to leave.

Now, if we sell campground passes at the Pub, I believe these folks will keep their vehicles parked in the Faire parking lot while they visit. This means we see possible Patrons within the Faire area (even though they are actually in the campgrounds). We close and lock the Faire-Campgrounds gate once we have cleared out the Patrons. That means that the visitor folks are stuck in the campgrounds and their vehicles are still in the Faire parking lot (which means we haven't cleared the faire area so that we can't open the gates to allow vendors out).

The best solution is to only sell campgrounds passes at the campgrounds gate. If you are a Patron in Faire and want to visit the campgrounds, you will have to depart the Faire parking lot and enter through the campgrounds gate (purchasing the $5 wristband and showing your hand-stamp to show you attended Faire that day).

This may appear to be very complex, but the result is to restrict access into the campgrounds.
