I'd like to learn some more about the clothing of the women of the "gentleman" class during the 1520s-30s.  I do have the sketches and portrait of the More family, but I was hoping to find more than just that.  Can anyone point me towards images/research/dress diaries?

P.S. I have The Tudor Tailor and I have read Eva Anderssen's dress diary.

A few months ago, Kimiko Small started a thread for middle class women's dress of that period on the Tribes.net Elizabethan Costuming forum.  You can read the whole thread here.

Margo Anderson's new Tudor Lady pattern ensemble is wonderful with the added Instruction Booklet that is worth its weight in Gold. I am using that pattern for a Commission I am doing.Possibly another Tudor Woman's ensemble later this year

Any of the Tom Tierney Paper Doll books illustrated in color detailing how Tudor Royalty and others dressed that can be found at www.amazon.com by typing in Books the name Tom Tierney.

There is a bevy of information available on the Internet as well to assist us in so many ways.

Second Margo Anderson's Tudor Woman's patterns.  Even if I never touched the actual patterns, the manuals are worth their weight in gold.

Lady Kathleen, I have a purchased garment, reasonable quality, which needs some alterations.  Would you be willing to take it on as a commission?  Pretty much, the bodice needs to be taken in, and there's enough extra in the skirt (which I will happily repleat) to I believe make a decent pair of hanging sleeves.

Thanks!
