Went and saw the movie yesterday.  I liked it! I don't remember too much from the old Star Treks so watched more or less as it's own apart from everything. I hate when movies use ... oh wait, no spoilers. Anyways other than one annoyance lol, I liked the young Kirk and Spock and Scotty   I hope they make another one with these actors.

From my understanding that was the plan Leyla. I heard in an interview with Leonard Nemoy that Gene Roddenberry had always wanted to continue the origional trek but to past that torch to younger actors who could continue the story.

The Las Vegas Strip.  The town that never sleeps.  Hundreds of shows.  Tens of thousands of slot machines.  Millions of rhinestones that cover practically nothing.  What did we do yesterday, apart from a few things we won't discuss here?  We went and saw Star Trek at a tacky little theatre at the south end of the strip!  LOL

Loved it!  Great one liners.  Lots of memories from the series.  Couple of "bother, why did they do that", moments.  Otherwise, I loved it.  Especially that part...  oh wait.  Sorry Jack.

Brandi is making me wait to see it. She says we'll go to a casino that has a theater and we'll use our free tickets when they will let us use them for the movie. SIGH, but I don't WANNA WAIT. To me that's just another way of saying "yeah sure we'll do that", and then POOF it never happens.
