Rengypsy wrote, "let's hear your stories, what moved your spirit and soul?"

I am reminded of my own words posted here, just before opening day:  "Late in the night, around the camp fire, our fantasies recall to us the drums and flutes of Celtic times.  We search for a rational explanation for these "deja vu" experiences, most often to no avail.  But in the oldest example of the mind/body connection, we discover traces of those lost memories, recorded generation after generation, in our hands.  Green Man, Priestess of the Forest, I call on you to join with me as we celebrate the birth of Sherwood Forest!  And Dion Fortune, send to us the Sea Priestess, her time has come again."

With his short dark hair combed back, wearing jeans and a western shirt, the cowboy walked over to my Gypsy Wagon, told me that he had come from Smithville,  and said he'd like to talk. I assumed he had probably driven over in an old Ford pickup, most likely with a gun rack showing through the rear window.  I invited him to sit down, and explained that I was practicing the ancient art of Hand Reading.

With no hesitation at all, he flashed his palms in front of my eyes, and quite quickly I realized that I would find this difficult to explain.  How does a Gypsy Palmist explain to this Texas cowboy, that he has the hands of a Priest?  How could this very spiritual person fit into the redneck culture of Huebels beer joint in Smithville?

With great caution and hesitation, I ask him a few leading questions such as "do you think that you can rely on your intuition more than most people, do you have fantasies of things which later come true, are you better at finding things that are lost, than most people?"

How relieved I was when he told me that he is the best dowser around these parts, that whenever anyone needs to know where to drill for water, he is the first guy that is called.  And before we were finished, he was joined by his wife and daughters--and what remarkable lines of intuition I found in the hands of those daughters.  I knew I had identified the Green Man of the Lost Pines, and this is what it's all about!

Priestess of the Forest, whose name I never asked, come by next year and tell me all that you have learned.  And Sea Priestess of the Mediterranean, we will continue this next season.
