Right after being born _{(via emergency C-section, cord was short and wrapped around her neck, simultaneously strangling her during contractions and pulling her head sideways, making v-birth impossible, alas)}
Mommy and baby a little bit later in our room.
Me and my daughter_{, and yes, I am still wearing the surgical scrubs from OR, I was too focused on my baby girl}
Baby Fí, just an hour old.
As we were checking out of the hospital this afternoon
Nom nom nom _{(she pulled that thing on top of her and started chewing on it, bloody child is strong as hell)}

This is the reason I missed Sherwood and will miss Scarby, and will likely be scarce at TRF this year. Totally bloody worth it

Now, lets get down to business here, what are sweet Fiona's stats?  We can see that she is healthy and gorgeous but how big?  How is mom doing now?  She had a c-section so YOU are in charge of ALL the heavy lifting for at least a month now.  =D

Now, lets get down to business here, what are sweet Fiona's stats? 

She weighed 8lbs 5oz, lightest birthweight in my family in recent generations (we usually run the 10-11lb range), 19 1/4 inches, and could hold her head up and roughly crawl within an hour of birth. She's STRONG! I held her up to burp her after her first feeding, and she climbed her way up me to belch in my ear ("Love you, daddy! *URP!*"), and she can belly-crawl all over the place already. She's healthy, other than a slightly elevated bilirubin count, and eats like a horse (and subsequently, poops like one >.< )

Speaking of... off to do diaper change #473 this afternoon
