I don't know something about the finished product on the pattern cover didn't appeal to me, but to see it made on you ladies, is awesome
Ditto, LadySeason, you hit the nail on the head!
First, of course, the model is soo slender, and the trim overwhelmingly heavy-looking. Now that I think about it...
The twist-cord girdle is very distracting - I can't look at that photo without thinking of the Carol Burnett take-off of Gone With The Wind, when she came down the staircase wearing the curtain rod as part of the dress!!
We are all of us in the gutters, but some of us are lookin at the stars

For the life of me I cannot remember if I purchased that pattern (apparently I have "too many patterns" lol. But I'm definitely liking the way it came out. I don't know something about the finished product on the pattern cover didn't appeal to me, but to see it made on you ladies, is awesome

When I look at patterns (for anything, not just for garb) mentally I strip off all the crap and picture it in a plain fabric.  That way I can judge the lines better and 'see' it more clearly.  That's usually when I decide to buy or not.

I really HATE the way the model is standing in the picture
