I was told by a friend that she had a very accurate reading by a fortune teller at the Texas Renaissance Festival last year.  She says this despite her very skeptical nature and belief it's only for entertainment purposes.

Who is it that does the TRF readings??  Might just need to seek them out this year!  If they've got some talent, why not!

Breandan

there's a metric butt-tonne of tarot readers, palm readers, rune-casters, etc. at faire. Some are good, some are... meh. Depends. My wife also had one helluva accurate reading by a rune-caster out there, so it's not without precedent.
Author, bladesmith, and fuzzy teddybear.

"I've fought my wars and drank my mead in this life, the afterlife for me will be one endless renaissance festival with an old-school tabletop game store the size of a Costco next door ;D " - me

It's was truly odd. I know that most is "feeling" or "interpretation". You can "sense" direction or desire, but.. this particular one almost scared her. :P  Told her very specific information that couldn't have been known or "picked up" on by looking at her face or body language in response to the words.

Wish there was a way to know who it was, but the silly friend didn't get a name or anything!!!  Ugh!  Thanks for posting though, Bre!  I hope I get to meet ya soon!

I know several of the readers personally. What part of the faire were they in?

Chianti

If she can tell you where the reader was, we might be able to narrow it down to who it was.

Brenna

Okay, this is the best description I can manage out of her (I suppose her memory is foggy because it's been almost a year - though after telling me the story of how accurate and detailed the reading was, I can't imagine that's very forgettable! /shrug)

Around the Brown Dog Fortune Telling & Massage area perhaps? It was a palm reader.  And she was hispanic in appearance. She wants to guess it was left inside the gate then the first right??

That's all I can manage to dig out of her. :P

I know so very many attendees who appreciate the fine talents of the gypsies and I look forward to greeting them all with open arms! :D
