I have a couple of weeks of made days...our son arrived from NYC for a two-week holiday visit.

After havign a really stinkn' thinkn' morning, having someone come up and give you a hug, and say "They care, and they want to help if they can." 

Even though your head knows people around you care about you, sometimes it is nice to hear, and feel it.

Finding the absolutely PERFECT gift for my renlet... and knowing without a doubt that it will be her favorite present this year... even though it's not the most expensive, or the biggest, or even something she asked for (because she has no idea this even EXISTS!!!)!!!     

I sooooo can't wait to see her face when she opens it!!!

Watching the eclipse last night with my little girl, and pointing out a few of the constellations to her... just like my daddy did with me.  He passed on a very long time ago, when I was still a little girl, but this is one way that I can see the continuity of the generations, and share a little of her grandpa with her...

That was what started my interest in Greek and Roman mythology, as well... and so I'm telling her about some of the legends behind the naming of the constellations.

What made my day was the work portion of it ended (and a horrid work day it was!), and I don't return to the office until after New Year.

I got to have dim sum today! And my brother (who arrived home from college yesterday) and I have been getting along (which is something that never used to happen) and we even watched the eclipse together last night.
