Chef Jim still intends on coming down and working his magic in the kitchen with us this year! Here is the proposed menu he has for everyone.

What:2010 Alabama medieval/renaissance feast
Where: Florence-Lauderdale Colesium, Florence, AL 35630
When: Saturday, October 16'th 7:00 p.m.
Ticket info: Tickets are $25 each, and seating is limited to 200. Contact bwarren@fcs.k12.al.us with your name, snail mail address and the number of tickets you require. You can mail payments to the following address: (checks can be made out to Alabama Renaissance Faire)

The Menu:
1st Course
Ekmek - bread.
Tereyagi - butter.... See More
Domates Corbasi - Tomato Soup. Tomatoes & greens blended into a vegetable broth.
Koy Salatasi - Village Salad. A salad of greens, sheep's cheese and olives, dressed in olive oil & lemon juice.

2nd Course
Cacik - traditional Turkish appetizer & garnish of yogurt, cucumbers & garlic.
Istanbul Pilavi - Istanbul Rice. Chicken breast served with rice, peas & almonds.

3rd Course
Piyaz - Bean Salad. Beans, onions & eggs dressed in spices, lemon juice & olive oil.
Patlican Kizartmasi - Fried Eggplant. Fried eggplant slices served with a tomato-garlic chutney.
Adana Kebab - Beef Kebabs. Minced beef & onion on skewers.

4th
Kabak Tatlisi - Pumpkin Dessert. Pumpkin stewed in sugar.
Asure - Noah's Ark. Traditional Turkish dessert of nuts & dried fruits cooked with sugar & pearl barley.
