So-I was thinking that I would like to add a sword to my outfit--and possibly buy the wife a nice belt dagger or something. I was looking at some online sites in the past year--but I haven't seen anything that really caught my eye.

The smiths at Bristol have some pretty nice items--but I am not as knowledgeable on this--so I am do not wnt to have buyer's remorse on such large purchases.

I was not esp keen on getting battle ready weapons--not much of a demon threat or barbarian horde invasion in Indiana now or in the near future. But I do not mind buying one--as long as it is resonably priced.

My question is--are there any vendors at Bristol that you would recommend purchasing steel from? We are not concerned so much with it being HA but would like to add to our garb for our enjoyment.

If they haven't been driven out yet by the sellers of imported stuff check out Arms & Armor for quality work.

I agree!  I bought a beautiful pierced blade musketeer's rapier from them in 2002.  I love it.

Quality counts.  You can always find cheaper, but the quality reduction is immediately obvious.  Nothing more annoying than a rattling hilt as you saunter down the lane.

Arms and Armor all the way!!!  Mayhawke (by Noble Casting) looks fine until it rusts, and it always rusts.
