I have this great piece of fabric, remnant, that I just could not pass up.  It reminded me of a dress I saw in a movie or on the Tudors.  I can't find a pic of what I was remembering.  The point being that I can't think of what I should do with it.  It has a lot of potential.  Problem is I only have about 1.25 yrds!  Any ideas?

I can't tell scale but it's a bit too modern for my tastes.  (I'd make it into a summer skirt for work!)  However, if your dying to make it into a "Renaissance" dress, maybe just a forepart and a stomacher?   Get another five yards of fabric to make a dress to go over it.

I like it. My first thoughts would be a skirt forepart, or a hat. Or send it to me, and I'll  make my 3 year old a new chemise or gown  ;D.

1 yard can make you a basic bodice.

A flat cap (or muffin cap) takes about 1/2 yard.

1.25 yards should make you a forepart (Margo's patterns call for 1.5 yards).

Sleeves take 1-2 yards, depending on style.

Basic breeches take about 2 yards.

The Simplicity pirate waistcoat takes 1 yard.

A pouch can be made from scraps.

Awesome guys!  I really love the ideas.  I knew you could come through.  Thank you!

And this doublet, ya, that's TOTALLY cool. ;D
