I will admit I went to see it by myself yesterday.
I thought it was really good- considerably better than the first two.

Funny thing- I was sitting there watching the movie and thinking "man the music sure has gotten a LOT better".
I sat through the previews as i always do - lo and behold Howard Shore did the music- that explains a lot.

We saw it over the weekend!  I am so hooked on this stuff it's sad.  I have to say though that this one was a little slow for me compared to the book.  But I will still go see it again at least once in the theater and get the dvd...so ya....I still loved it. 

I have liked the soundtracks so far for all three movies.  I don't have the score yet for this one though, didn't even realize that Carter Burwell didn't do the score for this one.
