Looking for a Seamstress, plz.....

Ok i changed the subject heading so i can hopefully find some more seamstresses.

I am looking for Tudor garbing for my husband and I, my husband who is never into dressing up for anything wants to do Henry VIII this year and he has even given me clearance to go all out for he wants something that will look and feel authentic, i don't want any factory made costumes. Our renaissance faire is not until next year so i can't visit any vendors and a lot of them don't even have websites. I'm looking for any seamstresses that can make something by October.

For October you're pushing it...  That only leaves about 10 weeks, and most good garb makers are booked six months to a year ahead.

I have several Tudor patterns for Henry VIII as well as the Tudor for any of the wives with the new  Margo Anderson Ladies Tudor pattern. which works very well. The Gabled Hood was a great learing experience.. There are some steps I will be doing differently the next time to save time and get better results.

I'd be willing to contribute, but theres no way I could get it all dont by myself by October...maybe if we could get a team of people together to work on parts of it...and then put it all together...It might be pushing it but if you get on it fast enough it can prolly get done for you...

It would be cool if i can get one seamstress to work on one costume and another one for another, any ideas on this, and can anyone give some pricing on this, i was looking to keep each costume at around 500 each.

And just FYI these costumes will be for the Renaissance Festival in Florida as well as Halloween. My hubby and I go every year and I love it so much.

As our own dear Kate mentioned, most garb makers are booked up months in advance. I slipped up and took some work so I have 2 doublets, slops and a dress remake already on my plate.

Yup, i have seen both those sites which seam really good and I may even check a few things out for my husband at Museum Replicas. Since the reason he is into this right now is because of the turdors show on showtime.
