Forgive me but for the life of me I can't remember what they are called!  The yarn hair things that people are wearing now.  There was a thread about them at one point in time.  Would someone be so kind as to direct me?  Thanks! ;)

DO you have to have long hair to wear hair falls??
I have only ever seen them attached to pony tails or pig tails.
I have chin length hair and would love to do falls for a fae character

no you don't have to have long hair to wear them.  if you can put your hair up in pig/ponytails even short ones you can attach them :)

plus you can put a head band on to cover any loose hairs that may not fit.  then a kuchi head piece or whatever.

Ever since my very first time at a faire, I have wanted some! And every year I tell myself I'll get them then something shiny catches my eye and its "oh well maybe next year"

I've got a good feeling about this year though ;)

I am gathering my supplies to make my first set.  I have watched several tutorials and learned many tricks.  I have also seen some great mixtures of textiles and items to add to them.  I think hair falls could be a constantly developing art form for people.

I think I may endeavor to make my own too. I saw some once, I think they may have been made by someone from this site, they had clear plastic flexible tubing in them, kind of had a cyber punk feel. Those were cool. Anyways, good luck!

I made some that were attached to a headband, instead of an elastic ponytail holder. It was a bit more tedious, as I had to do several sections, but it was enough, mixed with my layered, shorter than chin length hair that Twisted Sisters wanted to braid my hair... until I took the headband off and they saw I really didn't have enough for them to braid.
