alright my creative souls and friends i need some help and some of your thoughts
I have two jackets that i recently purchased and plan to take on vacation with me in about 8weeks(holy cow time to pack)(yes i will need a jacket it's the end of their winter) anyhow neither one of these jackets have pockets on the inside anyhow i want to add at least one pocket on the inside and i really want it to almost like the pocket isn't there any suggestions?

As a matter of fact I just did that very thing to one of my husband's doublets.

What I did was I made a pocket (to the size he wanted) out of some scrap fabric. Then I cut a slit as wide as the pre-made pocket in the lining of the doublet, and sewed it in. I had to do it by hand so that neither the stitches nor any hint of the pocket were visible on the outside.

If your jackets do not have any type of lining, I would have two suggestions for you:

1. You could rip the side seam and do what I did with some scrap fabric, then sew the edges of your pocket back where you ripped the seam.

2. (Mind you without seeing the jacket this may or may not be a good idea) If you wanted the pockets more in the front, you could... again make the pocket you want then use some twill tape to make the pocket openings look professional... if that makes any sense. If not, I'm sure someone else on here could help clerify.  ;)

one jacket has lining the other doesn't but i am going to half to look again but i think i can get to both outside pockets from the inside if so i may hide the pocket there i didn't think of that.
thanks for the idea ladybootlegger

Actually I did something similar to a doublet-but the pockets I made were for
gel packs so that I could attempt to remain cool in the heat

well i went home and looked the pink jacket has pockets that are stitched only on the outside the other jacket has a liner cutting into that is an option as well.

My hubby loves the inside pocket I added to his doublet.

Good luck with your additions  ;)

Have you considered making a pocket to hang from under the arm, like a shoulder holster for a pistol?  If he's right handed, make it under his left arm.
