Ok, since someone already threw Disney into the ring, I won't feel so bad about my little secret obsession...

I just love "Kiss The Girl" from The Little Mermaid...  The movie version only, though, and not the one the little Disney starlet recorded.  I just love the harmonies, and it's fun to watch it with the animation!

(listening, and watching, right now... LOL)

Here's a nice reference site to do a little research:

Classic Movie Musicals

I've got all of the "Fred & Ginger" movies on DVD - they're probably my favorites.  But I also really like the Bing Crosby & Bob Hope "Road to ..." Films and the Musical Bio-Films, such as "The Glenn Miller Story", "The Benny Goodman Story", and "The Gene Krupa Story".

Oh Honestly..... The Glenn Miller Storty was one of the "hair standing on the back of my neck" things that made me certain my Ewan was the one for me.....

Lusty Month of May from Camelot - Julie Andrews version always gets the blood singing in the old veins....

One of my most favorite movies is one called The Commitments.

A working class Irish young people form a soul band. If you love Aretha and Wilson PIckett, this is the movie for you!

Hard to believe the lead singer is only 16.

WW, amazing stuff - that kid's got pipes.  My bff & I went to see Sister Re here in Houston maybe 13 years ago.  It was sweltering, she wouldn't let the ac be turned on, and was dressed to the nine's.  She carried her purse onto the stage (and made sure she always knew where it was) and at one point was so hot she took off her hairpiece, joking that she'd never be able to catch a man that way.
Sveethot!

Taffy, I couldn't find the one on him doing Try a Little Tenderness from the movie, but damn, he's great!

Great sing along soundtracks. :)

The Commitments was definitely an awesome flick (and music).

One of my favourites was sung by Kermit the Frog: Rainbow Connection. OK, my secret's out... The song was co-written by Paul Williams, a composer that I really like.

The Glenn Miller Story is a personal fave probably due to the amount of big band music I listened to growing up. My folks grew up in that era, and saw most of those people perform. The scene where London is being bombed while the GLB is outside playing "In the Mood" is great.

Any scene in A Hard Day's Night other than "That Boy."

I don't like any Rogers and Hammerstein with the exception of The King and I, but I cannot think of a favourite scene in it.

Any scene in "The Commitments".

'Falling Slowly' from "Once", one of the most romantic films I've seen.

I like some that weren't made in Dublin as well,  ::)
I think a lot of the music in the film "Watchmen" was very well chosen.
