I wear my sandals from Heart and Soles every day at faire unless I'm doing pirate.  In which case, this year, I may be able to buy a pair of their new pirate boots!  Huzzah!
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

I also recommend Heart & Sole! I have had so many problems with shoes for faire. My feet would take a real pounding, and at the end of the day I was sore and had swelling and/or blisters. Every pair I bought (cheap shoes from Wal Mart and other stores) didn't hold up would only last a couple of seasons, max, before falling apart. I purchased two pairs from Lady Nicolette this year and they're the best shoes I've ever had. They have padded soles, are super comfy, and hold up very well; the leather is butter-soft and molds to my feet like a glove. Love 'em!

I love my Medieval Moccasins! I've got two pairs (one in basic brown that have survived being soaked and muddy from one of the "wading pools" at MDRF one very wet year and open toed pair in teal that I wear with my faerie garb). I especially love the open-toe ones for faerie wear.

I finally broke down and got a pair of boots form Native Earth and they are super comfy! I got the 2 button boots but they are COMFY and I am on my feet for like 18 hours at faire

I have two pair of Medieval Moccasins and live in them during the summar.  I wear them everwhere due to the heat.  During the winter I wear them with socks in my sewing room.  That way I can keep my feet warm and still feel like I am barefoot.  Having one pin removed from my foot is QUITE enough thank you!

When I had an issue with my shoes I took them to them, then saw the problem, and yes it cost $7 bucks for them to be repaired but they fit ALOT better now, and I didn't have to buy a new pair of shoes.  Certainly beats mundane shoes.
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.
