Does anyone have a good source of dyed ostrich feathers online? I see a ton of places via Google - just would rather know someone finds a company reliable for doing Google Roulette.

I've used them before, and if you can get a bunch of friends to go in together, even better!

www.featherplace.com, although they don't have the super huge male wing feathers that ostrich.com carries.

I have found that there can be good deals on eBay as well.

I like the drabs for Hats. They are not as huge as the outer feathers, which do look good on Cavalier hats.

I have bought tons from these people (well not literally lol). You get a lot of feather for your money and the quality is good.

Ostrich.com has some good selection but are very expensive.  I've always gotten my feathers here: http://www.tonyhill.net/productCat43986.ctlg  Excellent prices and fantastic service.

I feel like this is all I've talked about in my brief stay, but...ETSY! You can find them in singles, lots, all sorts...and you can get amazing deals. I just made a stand up colllar with feathers I bought on Etsy.com for less than 2.00.

Our wedding was nothing but ostrich plumes in vases at the tables, and I got those on Etsy for less than 20 cents a piece.

I've been looking for the medium to big feathers online for a while, the craft stores want 2.50 to 3.99 for one.
Hobby lobby used to have them in the floral section for .99 cents each as recently as 2009 then price just shot through the roof.
Best I can figure is that with so many ostrich farmers getting out of the business, they are getting scarce again.
Etsy has the cheapest I've found unless you want to buy in bulk.

Make sure you know the difference between the drabs and the wing plumes though before deciding what to purchase.  The drabs are nice, but the wing plumes are much fuller.
