I love halloween!!  I'm betting that the rest of you guys do too.

So, what are you going to be?  I'm wearing an authentic Japanese komon kimono with a Fukuro obi and some pretty zori sandals.  Not a geisha, just a Japanese girl I guess.

I'm having problems deciding... It's starting to get to a point where I feel like I wear costumes so often normally, that I don't know what to do for Halloween anymore. I wear costumes in the theatre shows I do (and I'm currently in two), I wear a costume at work, I have all of my garb stuff (and I'm making a new one this year), and I'm making a Victorian costume for a Dickens faire.

Plus I don't know what I'm doing for Halloween.

We have different themed Halloween parties every year. This year is the theme is "The most offensive Halloween party ever". Costume requirements are basically find something politically incorrect, in bad taste, and offensive.

I'll just leave it at that.

This year I'll be dressing like someone with a job.  A feat I wasn't able to do last year.
I hope my life is an epic tale that ends well and everyone likes to read. --Grovdin Dokk

I'm going to be Suki from Avatar: the Last Airbender.  The cartoon, not the aweful movie that tried to emulate it.

Other ideas that were on the table before the decision was made: Lela from Futurama, a Howling Banshee (Warhammer 40,000 character), a Sister of Batter with New, Improved Armor! (also a Warhammer 40k character), or Titania (w/hubby as Oberon - he decided he wanted to be a Ghostbuster this year, so that was right out :)).

Steampunk.  I'll be on a very mundane Pittsburgh riverboat with Donnie Iris and the Cruisers for entertainment.

Greg and I are going to be Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers (from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World). I have a haircut similar to hers, and clothes like hers anyway...just making the hammer and purse, and ordered the goggles last week! I'm currently making a few halloween costumes as commissions including a Hogwarts school uniform, Obi Wan Kenobi (ep2), and a Uhura's uniform from the newest Star Trek movie...Theres a few other people with ideas, but nothing for sure yet...I will be planning on having a Halloween party, which I am very excited about...it will be the first I have ever hosted in my own place!

Pretty. Odd.

I'm going to dress like the Scare Zone Manager at Screams!  Oh wait...that's what I am. *snerk*  No costume for me this year, I'll be on duty at the Haunted Theme Park!

I've been informed by my renlet that we will be doing "Faerie" this year on AHE at TRF, since I got to choose SteamPunk last year... so some sort of woodland Fae, I guess.

If I dress up this year.. (no idea what we have going on) I am debating between:

Sarah Sanderson... Amuck! Amuck amuck amuck amuck! ;D (this would be more fun if I could find a Winifred and a Mary)

or

Flo from the Progressive commercials.. hee hee!! Everyone say awkward!  :D

Muffin, for these I love you in TWO whole new ways!!!!  =D  (Seriously, I LOVE Sarah Sanderson and Flo!)
Amanda  =D

"Do not call for your mother.  Who is it that you think let the demons in to eat you up?"

ArielCallista

I definitely think someone needs to be Flo...I'm going to be highly disappointed if this halloween comes and goes and I don't see a single Flo, cause really shes ridiculous and ridiculous wins

Last year on the mundane Pittsburgh riverboat cruise, Flo won the costume contest.

Ha, agreed.  I get some really funny looks in garb on that darn riverboat.  But it "counts" to me and that's all that matters.  OH, and I'm a big fan of Dawnie.

The renletsa are going as a faerie and a gnome, but as to the wife and I, I don't know if we'll dress. I always have people at work ask why I don't show up in garb, but it just doesn't feel right for some reason. Probably in part to working on a state college campus, and even wearing a dagger or belt knife could get me arrested... and really, who wants to deal with that much hot, sticky, liquid in garb?
