It seems to me you do alot of tweaking of patterns ,Gem. Maybe a set of French Curves would be handy for you to have around.

Death to the child who thinks they can use my sewing scissors for their latest school project LOL.

In my house this includes my Husband too.

Amen to this! My scissors are sacred, and it's not OK to "just borrow them" when I've specified just how fussy I am about them!

I wish I had a pair of Ginghers. It's on my Christmas list, along with a dress form.

I LOVE my adjustable dress forms.  I have all the women and the childs but really want an adjustable man!

Oh wait, that doesn't sound right does it...adjustable man?  One of those might not be too bad though, adjust him to cooking mode, cleaning mode....maybe a snuggleing mode, definitely a massage my shoulders when I've been at the machine too long mode.  Oh yeah, I want one of those in my work room too LOL.

it seems as tho I definitely need to get more dress forms...luckily at this point anything I make for other body types aren't difficult to fit garments...
Things are shaping up to be...
Pretty. Odd.

I have an adjustable man.  Very useful!   ;)

LOL. Wonder if there's a Joann's coupon for that?

LadyShadow

Is he useful or difficult like the rest of them?    ;D

Are there adjustable dress forms that not only adjust out, but up? I'm tall, and it seems like dress forms are all meant for average length torsos.

ladyharrogate

all the forms I have adjust through the torso too.  You just have to know the secret trick to it.  The booklet with your dressmakers dummy will tell you just how to do it.

What works best for marking for ME is the tracing wheel and tracing paper.  Also, I frequently use masking tape and a regular pen for marking buttonholes and eyelet holes.  The pen mark stays sharp, and the tape tears right off when the sewing is done.

All my men are useful.  I do not permit men to be otherwise.   ;D

OOH I'd love to have an adjustable man. His Lordship's size flucuates frequently.

I *had* a set of French curves, but they were part of the ruler that broke.  ::)
