Sorry, could not help myself... ;D

The worlds cheapest car goes on sale!  Bit of a motorhead, I like big horse power but can appreciate what a cheap car can do for those who can't afford much.  Made in India where it is not uncommon to see an entire family ride on a motor scooter!

Oh, the car is called the Tata Nano...

No anti-lock brakes, no air bags, no A/C, no radio, no reinforced frame, no power steering and
no power windows.
I think the top speed is 45 MPH

It sounds great for crowded city driving, but I don't see how it will fly in the States.

It's a sort of lesser Smartcar.  I've heard the lack of safety features have already tagged it as a no-go in the USA.

The cars coming out of India, and it has a top speed of 65 mph and gets 55 miles to the gal. And only cost 2 grand, I would buy one today if I could get one as is with out all the extra crap the U.S Gov says it has to have to drive in this country. It would make a great commuter car from home to work. And when gas gets back up to $3.50 or $4.00 a gal  more people will want one.

I'd drive one in a heartbeat.  Even if you had to mod it up a bit, the price can't be beat, so sayeth the poor chick.

2 grand for one!?!   Be kinda fun to have one to run errands around here. Besides, thats cheaper than some of the quads & tricked-out golf carts my friends own!

I think if someone was to put the key in the door lock, you might poke out the window on the other side of the car. Or maybe ask ,where is the rubber band?
