Highland Fling Weekend

Just wanted to say that we couldnt have asked for a better Saturday!! It stayed sunny and clear . It was great to get a chance to see alot of old friends as well as meet new ones.  Briar Patch and his brother were AWESOME, had so much fun . Thanks to Teach, got a chance to meet Bonnie Pearl and her group, so sweet and pretty she is , Angus you rocked and it seemed that a certain pretty red head has her eye on you .Going to have to get with Briar Patch and find out who that beautiful lady at POW was that gave me the bottle of Ginger liquor, now that was some good stuff. Hope that I get a chance to see everyone on closing weekend, will be camping from Thursday to Sunday .

THAT was a most relaxing day... a beautiful Highland summer day.  It did get above 60 (if that) all day... about 10-20 minutes of sun and wonderfully overcast the rest.

Highland Fling was the best! Next year I'll need all of your help next year welcoming my soldier home from Afghanistan. It will be his first faire experience and I want to make sure he loves it as much as we do.

Lmao, well i didnt know that we were going to travel the land high and low, lol, and i laughed when you had 4  bottles with you, next time i will put less, ooops l mean more clothes on with pockets and will take my bourbon with me ... But that was a damn good bloody mary that Bonnie Pearls husband had until he lost it to me and dang where did  the jello shots come from.... Good times.... Well looking forward to Closing weekend and maybe I will bring a camera with ......Second thought , no, what happens at faire stays at faire..

I wondered about those jello shots as well, i opened my car the next morning and there was about 5 of them in my cup holder.

I had a blast at Highland Fling, to me the weather was great, and that little bit of rain didn't stop my fun. I did learn one thing, never leave the phone charger at home. My walk about Saturday night was cool, meet a lot of people, but couldn't find the one I was looking for....... . How ever I was able to to get all the moon shine drank along with the peach cobbler I came down with. Monday was the long trip home we left at as they were closing the gate, we made it home in record time 8 hours and 19 min, then I had to drive to my house for another 2 hours. I was some kind of tired, but it was all worth it. I hope to see every body again next year at TRF, if not sooner, at Sherwood.

The monks were there and it was a great weekend had by all. It's amazing how Thurs-Monday can pass so quickly; it's always a sad drive out of the campground Monday. We were grateful to see all our friends again, as well as for the new ones met. Can't wait to do it again next season.

Jello Shots would have been great!! However the Mead was fantastic too. Highlands weekend was great!! I am ready for the Barbarian weekend now. Plan to be there Sunday.
