My pewter tankard tastes funny

MMMM!  Mead!  What kind do you like?  I really enjoy the Olivers Camelot mead.  The Chaucers tastes kinda chemically to me.  There is also a local winery that makes mead, called Pirtle (located in Weston, MO, just outside the KC suburbs to the Northwest).  Their mead is kinda flowery, in my opinion.

Really like the Olivers, though!

Honestly, I have no idea what kind I like. My boyfriend usually fills the mug for me. I just drink it!

Did you fix the flavor issue? Someone told me that soaking it overnight in mixture of 1 cup distilled water,1 tsp. salt, 1 cup vinegar.
Rinse thoroughly before using.

Honestly, I forgot all about trying to fix the problem because I started using one of the other mugs that I bought.
