Ann, you've seen this thread, right? Is Pink H/A? Full of period noblemen in pink (and some noblewomen, too).
Yes!! Thanks!!. Seeing the men in pink is really helping me to refine the image in my head. Now I have to hope that the fabric stores will have something that will work. After seeing my little guy pretend playing in a disney princess pink dress and blue tiara at our school's child care I think he deserves his own shiny pink prince outfit with all the blingy accessories!  ;D

I'm making my sweetie a fur-edged cloak, so he can finally stop borrowing ones from other people. I also made him some jammie bottoms out of some goofy flannel for his birthday last week, so he's gotten the bulk of my December sewing.  :)

As for me, I have a few sewing-related things on my wish list ("a few" = "a zillion") but I doubt I'll get any of them.  The biggest two items are an out of print reference book on the history of the top hat, and a wooden hat block set from a UK company, so in addition to the 600-pound price tag (how do you make an English pound sign?), there would be some substantial shipping costs.  I'll probably get a bathrobe instead. :D

For the sake of the Pink Pirate I need to post this link to a photo. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n212/shanntarra/Flamingos/29.jpg Yes, men where pink and they have fun doing it.  ;D I'm planning on making his best friend a more italian or spanish feel all pink outfit to match this one.  So let your kiddo have fun.  To quote the pink pirate, "Real men where pink."
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

So... what did everyone get in their stockings?  ;D  We haven't done presents yet, but I'm checking in to see how everyone else made out this year!

2 of the things that arrived in time for Christmas at my house were my little pink prince's pink rose jacquard fabric and prince garb pattern!! Yay!! Now if only I can get it thru his thick skull that the Simplicity 8881, aka the Shakespeare in Love, pattern is NOT his I might be able to get this outfit made before MDRF in August...

It isn't nessasarily sewing related but many of you can understand. My MIL got me a lable maker, and extra lables.  What is nice is that this brand also make iron on labels.  This means I can put "Made by___"  and what size an item is for all of my shows.  This would make my life SO MUCH easier at the theater.  Also add in that I can now lable all those little bins in my sewing room.  This is both a blessing and a curse I think. :)

Nothing costume related this year, alas. Got a wonderful perfume, lots of creams, chocolate, and several DVDs. Very happy with these present! But I regret I didn't wish for a couple of costume related books I really want.

What about you guys?

Checking in from recent lurking and a long dry spell with no computer...This looks like a fun thread to chime in on, now that i can...My hunny got me a laptop for Christmas!!  Sooo excited.  It is just for me to use (translation: no short people downloading spongebob screensavers that crash my computer)for sewing/research, scrapbooking putting all my pics on my own instead of taking up space on the family computer.  It was really the only thing I asked for, but never really thought i would actually get one.

Anyhoo, as for gift making, I cheated this year and made no sew polar fleece tie together blankets for all 3 of my kiddos, and a paper bag scrapbook for my oldest.  Last month I made a pair of earrings for my MIL for her bday, and finally wrote our names in glitter on each of our Christmas stockings.  :)
