Rum vs. Scotch

Little late on this but Merlin I will have some Haitian rhum in my flask if you want to try.  Some Bancourt 15.

I used to drink rum fairly regularly, but mostly the cheap stuff back in our lean days. It started giving me headaches—and I don't mean hangover type—so I got away from it. I've had some delicious rums since. 

More likely than not, if I had to give up my Jack Daniel's (not likely), I would side with rum. You can get good rum a lot cheaper than you can get good scotch (good by my tastes).
