I got the PP's new doublet ready for him to try on when he got home.  (Soon as he tried it on it fit perfectly. YAY)  All that is left on it, is hand stitching the lining and adding the buttons.

I even got started on the green 'formal' dress. Other than thinking I should have cut out a size bigger to be on the safe side, it worked great.  Full Bust Adjustment, made it empire waist, and still gave me 'room to grow' in the skirt portion (Ie 10 extra inches in the front).  I was doing it in 15 minutes sew, 5 minutes rest cycles it worked.

Gem, I'm throwing the gauntlet. If I can get my franny in gear, you can get yours.  Quit putting it off and get going ! :)

Can you hang onto that gauntlet for a few more days? I left my sewing kit at my sewing studio last week and haven't had a chance to go back and get it. Literally everything I need to machine or hand sew is in that little box (most importantly, both spools of purple thread, and I am NOT buying another!!).

Today and tomorrow are cleaning for the in-laws. I'm supposed to be scrubbing my kitchen floor right now. Joy.

yeah I can hang onto the gauntlet for a few days :)

Btw if you need 'help' movpping the kitchen floor, depending on what it is made of.  Give your kids some old grubby socks, spread soapy shaving cream, or some sort of soap on the floor.  And let them, skate the floor clean.  They have fun, and you get a 'mopped' floor.
I had fun playing "Toy hide and seek" with my nieces and nephews.  Told them to find where their toys where hiding in the house, gave them 5 minutes. For every toy over 10 they found they got that much extra play time. (Only came to 2 but hey 2 minutes is 2 minutes). Then did "27 things" to get their rooms cleaned.  In 15 minutes the kids and I had the house clean for their mum, and they did it with a laugh & smile not a frown & fuss.
