Anybody know when tickets ship?

Ordered a couple weekend passes a couple months ago. Does anybody know when they normally ship out the tickets? (First time for Great Lakes faire, I know the Ohio one posts when they will send tickets out, but can't find anything on Great Lakes). Hate waiting till the last minute... nothing back on email, I might try again.

Hi Sigundo!

I have been attending GLMF forever...and as much as it pains me to say...they are notoriously slow at sending out tickets. That being said - it's a wonderful Faire and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I do happen to know there were a few folks who just this week received their tickets.  You may want to try to call them to let them know they are a "rush" if you need them by a certain date.  www.medievalfaire.com  (440) 474-4280 / 1-888-MEDIEVAL.

Not a good way to run a business. If they already cashed your check/ran your credit card, that's a REAL bad way to work!

That is unfortunately the case as it has been for several years now, and only seems to be getting worse.

Lady Catharine, I also purchased several season passes and tickets way back when in NOVEMBER (for their "Holiday" sale...mayhaps I should have asked which holiday of which year?) and have not yet received and was unable to give actual gifts for the holidays they were purchased.

There have been many complaints about this bad business on the "unofficial forum" and we hear nothing but excuse upon excuse from "the office" and how we're all complainers and need to chill out and just wait, although nobody can tell us for how long we will need to wait.  Bad busines, indeed...  And, frankly, what about the general public who purchased tickets and are not on the forum...how are they being communicated to?  I suspect they are not, and suspect that there have been many calls to credit card companies about not receiving merchandise.  Not a particularly good way to build up a loyal following...

Well, that's at least hopeful that its not just me. Long as they get here before I leave to go to the faire, it's ok. I've heard lots of good things about the Great Lakes faire, especially about the shade (which is the only reason I would even think about going in July to any place outside). Bad enough the KY faire is in June, but its pretty shaded and the places that are not in the shade, they put cloth awnings up overhead which helps a lot.

Hi Sigundo, glad you finally got your passes. The office may be unorganized when it comes to communication and distributing tickets, but the faire itself is wonderful. The trees cool the site down (being close to the lake also helps), so it's not unbearable on hot days. I keep reminding myself after the winter we've had, I won't whine about the humidity. LOL

And today I received *drum roll please* 4 regular adult tickets instead of the 4 Season Passes that I ordered... Really?????  This shouldn't have to be this difficult, people... :'(
