For those of you interested, the Renaissance Scots Living History Association will again be setting up camp at the Ft. Lupton Heritage Days Festival. Here's the info:

When: Sat, May 7, 10am – 6pm
Where: Ft. Lupton History Park in Ft. Lupton, CO
http://www.spvhs.org/heritagefair.html

Other events at the fort:

Proceeds from this festival benefit the restoration efforts of the fort. It's a fantastic festival with a totally unique atmosphere, so come out! It's well worth the drive! Here are a few pics from last year. It's a general historically related event:

Romans and Celts... and age old struggle. The lady in the arisaid is one of the Ren Scots.

Think the campers were thrilled?

You guessed it! Ren Scot!

My personal favorite feature- a small contingent of Buffalo Soldiers raise and lower the flag:

As you can clearly see, there are reenactors from every era of history, from the Romans all the way to the Fur Trapper era.

Capt'n Jack- it would be really fun to see the Pirates of Ill Repute there. Given that it is a general historical event, garb/characters from all eras adds to the already unique atmosphere! And it's free, which I figure appeals to the pirates!

I don't know! There are a couple things I want to do that weekend. The martial arts school I attend was going to have testing on the 7th, as well, but since I'm obligated to the Ft. Lupton fest, it was rescheduled. Luckily for me, my school is flexible in that way...

I posted this on the Pirates of Ill Repute forum I really want to try and make it.

Can you give me a link? I'd be interested in joining that forum myself!

What- grow up? If you haven't yet grown up, then yes, you're doing it right. I personally steadfastly refuse. In the words of Steve Harris from Iron Maiden- I intend to grow old disgracefully.

Oh, phew. What a relief. Thought I'd wasted 5 years of my life just to become a grown-up....

No no no. Didn't they teach you anything at the school of yours? Getting old is mandatory- growing up is not.
