Fire In Area Of Texas Renaissance Festival But Not To Close

Lately the names have had something to do with the fire.  For example from today's updates from the Texas Forestry Service:

The Bearing Fire was named because it was started by a hot wheel bearing.  BEARING, Polk and Trinity Counties. 20,222 acres, 85 percent contained. The fire is burning near Carmona. Two homes and six cabins were destroyed and dozens have been evacuated.

The Dyer Mill Fire (the one that we were all concerned about in Grimes County) was named because it started in a bar-b-que pit on Dyer Mill Road.  DYER MILL, Grimes County. 5,280 acres, 95 percent contained. Thirty homes are confirmed destroyed, along with three businesses. More than 1,000 homes and businesses were evacuated; the evacuation order has been lifted. This fire is burning approximately 3 miles east of Whitehall.

GOOD NEWS FOR ALL FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA!  The Walker County Fire (North of Huntsville, TX on I-45) Is Out.  This reported by the Texas Forestry Service:  The Midway Fire in Walker County was contained at 2,412 acres.
