When to take the keys??

For those who have had to do this, when & how do you take the car keys from your parents? Any advice will be appreciated.

Some parents are reasonable and will understand.  They are easy.

Some parents are difficult and will fight it.  They are heartbreaking.  Some police departments can help them see reason.

In the end, no matter how difficult it is, it will be less difficult than the pain of their death in an accident or the death of another motorist or pedestrian.

There comes a time when you switch from child to "parent over the parent".

I'm doing that now.... be sensible.... and do what is right.
