FINALLY I'm managing a trip on the Halloween weekend! Took some major schedule rearranging but I pulled it off.

Halloween weekend is the only one that has eluded me so far!

Going solo and hotel it!

It looks like I'll be attending Nov 4-6, but will be camping alone.  EVERYBODY backed out on me.  Maybe a nice clan will take me in for the weekend.

This might be silly question. How do camping clans get started? Do you just make up a name, get some members and stake you plot? I have a name in mind already

Every clan starts differently. The general way is that people keep camping together in the same place and it kind of evolves over time into a fairemily.

Our clan started back in Asheron's call.  The had a clan/ guild system.  We made friends there and when a core group of 5 people decided to go to TRF they invided any of their Acheron's Call people to join them.  When they moved to World of Warcraft they added more people.   It got to the point where we had as many people flying in as we had driving down. The monarch and 3 other people have been going for 25+ years, some of us have been camping with them for 10 years.  We just were a group of friends who like each other's company, so we banded together.

Eloquent and I will be camping with her crew this weekend, in McShug's normal area.

Rapier and Mouse will be camping with PR this weekend, I think.

Looks like I will be daytrippin' the weekend of Nov. 12, just not sure if Saturday or Sunday or both?

The Hellshade will be somewhere in that general area. We'll have to see what it looks like by the time we get there tomorrow afternoon...
