So, the aforementioned new restaurant in the same strip center as The Diner, is indeed yet another TexMex joint named "5 de Mayo".

Oh gee like we didn't have enough Mexican restaurants lol.  ::)  Is Magnolia going for the Tex-Mex capitol title or something?  :D
Not a chance. As long as San Antonio exists it will be the Tex-Mex capitol.
Although, thanks to so many Katrina escapees who stayed here I am finally able to find decent Cajun/Creole places to eat.

*Now if I can just find a perfect rumcake store my meals would all end perfectly*

You just need someone coming down from Dallas to grab one from Collin Street Bakery...

Yeah. Great. Just what we need in Magnolia, ANOTHER Mexican restaurant.

HAHAHAHA...priceless!

I haven't logged into this forum in months and I read this....funny.  Just in case anyone is wondering which one of the many Mexican restaurants we have in Magnolia is the best...it's the Blue Iguana  ;D

Give it a try  ;)

Would love to try it. The problem is convincing the Magnolia restaurants to stay open on faire nights late enough for the participants to get there. Only an few of the non-fast food ones are willing.
