Here are a few pictures from the second weekend.  My husband was the photographer - so they are all of me.   :P

My youngest Granddaughter, Naomie, enjoying her first visit to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Of course her Mommy just had to get her Fairie Wings. Now I will have to make Naomie a costume to go with those wings.

As usual for me I took very few pictures but  instead spent most of the day people watching.
On that note here are my pictures...

I posted a bunch of photos of me.. but this one by far was the hardest to get... I look soo very big next to her, I am always surprised my size didn't scare away more kids.

Bubbles are pure magic... if you don't believe me watch any man, woman, or child chase a bubble down the road.

This was one of the photos I submitted to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival for "The Royal Photo Contest" in 2010.  I didn't win the contest, but they are using my photo on the MNRF web site's Employment page.   :o   ;D

Me with Genta in his new Court Ensemble he designed and I put together.

Opening Day was FANTASTIC!!!!!  Perfect weather all day!! Great fun!! Despite the many people who came out, there was no problems getting to the various shows. CAnnot wait to go again.

You're both cute in this shot.  And Speck appears to have that look of, "Who _is_ that person?!?"   :D

Well another RenFest season is about to ascend upon us and I thought I'd try and get us in the mood. I hope that I'll be able to attend but having my predominate arm in a sling since mid May hasn't been fun. Hoping to start PT soon and be able to once again be able to photograph the wonders and above all the people of the faire! Which brings me to this point. I do the photography for myself and if I think a pic is up to my liking, I make a print and give it to the subject with the only hope that they don't chose to use it as a target on a dart board.  ;) As an exercise for myself, I wanted to create a book of some of my images. Since there were no releases acquired, I only made one issue for myself so it cannot be for sale. I did request that a PDF be made so others my see it so I have included the link to the Blurb book site: http://www.blurb.com/books/8070253-portraits-from-the-renaissance-festival
Just hoover the mouse over a lower corner of the book and click to reveal the pages. Let me know what you think.
Hope to see you all again this year! Until then Hazzah!

I think ascend is different from descend ..... makes a big difference. either way it was a good article.
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are---
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
