Moving to google +

So I am slowly but surely getting fed up with facebook.
I figure since we have a facebook and mssnger finding thread we should have one for google+ too.

  I just started to get posts from friends showing a 'to view this photo you must have a FB Gold membership'.
   After all the 'we will never charge'  BS, it appears to be the opposite.  I will hang on, but I agree, it's getting to be waaay too annoying now, and I will not be forced to pay for all the features I don't want and will never use.

The facebook guys must be in league with the netflix people- how to screw up something awesome in 5 moves or less.
I just found a couple of great apps to help me move all my pictures and friends from fb to google, so its not so daunting

   Sorry, turns out the above was another subscriber Hoax.  My buddy's acct was hacked and we all got spammed.
   Per Snopes (I swear by them) Facebook will not, and will never charge for basic services, and friending premium subscribers should not interfere with posts between non-subscribers.
   However, it does not change the fact that FB is getting too big, too busy, too nonexclusive (remember when non-college related and underage members were barred?) and has all but become the very thing that people who migrated from MySpace were trying to get away from.
  The sad thing is that Goggle+ will go there too, and probably quicker.

At least with G+ you can organize friends much easier, which to me helps to cut down on that "overcrowding" feeling. So, you can have a circle for friends you know IRL, then for renfaire friends, and then for coworkers.

Heck i remember when i could log on the net and  no one know me from adam Now everyone in my family except my parents a few uncles and a cousin are all on facebook. I miss the days when i could post what ever i wanted without someone in my family commenting. I also never liked facebook i only joined it to make a few people happy

thats why in G+, you can select which circles see your post. so, if you want to post something about faire, you can choose the circle where you put all your faire friends. If you wanna ask a work question, you choose the coworkers circle. You can make whatever kind of circle you want, from family to friends to coworkers. I don't use it as much as I should, because there are days where I want to just punch Facebook in its login page.

I highly recommend G+ for people who are suffering social overload since you can filter your exposure.
