Along with potentially a large number of CORF folks, we will be attending this year's Santa Fe Faire.  So, I'm wondering the best place for the Countess and I to stay.

Apparently last year the Inn at Santa Fe had a good deal.  Is anyone aware of good deals this year -or- is there a place we will all be invading?

It's always nicer to be having breakfast with other folks in garb, rather than being alone among the attendees of the local tractor pull.

Any info is appreciated.

Faire deals are good at hotels, motels & inns.  When I went to a faire out of state a few years ago, I called the police department of the town I was going to stay in to ask for the safest places to look for a motel.  They were happy to tell me where the best parts of town were.

I don't know anything about Santa Fe.  I know that there are towns all across America that don't have bad parts to them.  Santa Fe may be one of them.  I just know that this will be the first step I take whenever I go out of town for a faire now.

I expect that most of the Colorado contingent stay at the Inn.  Last year, the festival arranged discounted rates for faire-goers, but no word yet whether they will do so this year.  Even if they do not, the rates at the Inn are reasonable, it is a nice accommodation, and very convenient to Las Golodrinas.

I will be staying down the road from the inn at Red Roof Inn, i am paying ahead of time and got a deal of $49 a night for a king bed room with frig and microwave.
