I'm here just about every day. Don't go greet newbies. Mostly i check the Tavern, Help wanted, performers, merchants, and the michigan faires.

Glaodian

I am here every day, several times a day.  But mostly hang out in the TRF section.

I'm here most days of the week but have been remiss about welcoming new members. I guess it's because I still consider myself a new member too and it felt a bit odd for me, a newbie, to welcome another newbie! But I guess that's pretty silly so I'll be more attentive to the new members!  :)

Ditto that.

As you can see with the lateness of my response, I only check in every few days, but I don't post that often.  I do love it here though!  Maybe now that my kids high school marching band season is over (2nd place at national championships  ;D)  I can have some free time again and check in more often.

Craigmeister

I check in every week or 2.  More often during the season of course to let people know what events are coming up in my part of the country.

I tend to lurk on the forums just about every other day, to a week.

I can say that the number of posts in general seem to have fallen since Scarborough wrapped up its 2012 season. Are most of the regular posters from southern fairs?

Texas does seem to have a pretty active crowd here, but if you look at the forum stats, activity is WAY down this year over last year.  Part of that, I would bet, was as a result of some of the tremendous amount of spamming that was going on last year, but certainly not all of it was spam.

I like having someplace to go where the focus is on faire. I'll hang around as long as the atmosphere doesn't go bad...

Even on the NYRF forum, which doesn't have a lot of activity to begin with, it's way down this year compared to last. Don't really know why. We open in 3 weeks and all I hear is crickets!

Not on as much as I use to be and often only check certain sections. Just alot busier than I use to be.

I'm here every day (unless I'm on the road), for the same reason as Merlin; I like a place to discuss Faire, where the focus is on Faire.
I primarily use this forum to check out garb, ask questions and get intelligent answers, find merchants and Faire dates, as well as who will be where.

I use FB for personal stuff, and my Faire Photos.

I read only certain forums, but I, too, have noticed a conversation decrease in general.  I check the forums usually every day, sometimes twice if there is a topic that peaks my interest.  When I joined a couple years ago, I actually read through the entire postings of the forums I wanted to follow (Sherwood, TRF, Scarby, Tavern, Sewing, Garbing, and a few others).

Even TRF seems to be slower picking up this year over the past couple years.  They have not quite arrived at a fever pitch in anticipation for the new season.

Could be the heat, the politics, the economy, or just the life cycle of internet sites.  As successful new sites develop, the older ones kind of fade away.

I check in 3 or 4 days a week. But I am another guilty one about not checking in on the newer members. Generally, I have my favorite spots that I'll check, and every once in a while I pop in someplace else just to see whats going on.
