Countdown to Sherwood Forest Faire 2012

Besides freezing my tush off, we had a great time! Unfortunately, after having a comrade go down by dehydration with a very close brush with hypothermia, and being sleep deprived, I threw in my hat and said enough last night. We left out at around 9 or so last night, and I pulled back into Denton at around 130 this morning. Much love to all, I am very sad that I missed last nights festivities and faire today.

The Meggers and cold just doesn't mix all that well.

Missed you not being with the group Saturday night. We'll have to do it again.

I enjoied seeing those that I did see out at faire and I'm sorry that I missed those that I did not get to see.

I surprised a few people by showing up Friday night and really enjoied myself.  Saturday was wonderful just walking around by myself I ran into Maeven and her hubby a few times.  Then it was off to the feast and what a delight that was!  I highly recommened the feast and I KNOW I'll be going to do that from here on out.  I only have two complaints about the feast, salt and pepper needed to be on the table and there were a few times when it was hard to hear our hosts but other than that I will be going back to it next year!

We were at the feast, too, down at the end by Robin and Marian, on same side as George who was not the King that day.  I thought about salt and pepper, too, but found after the first glass of wine I really didn't need it.  After 3 glasses my daughter sang a blessing for Robin and Marian - missed a few notes here and there, (that happens with 3 glasses of wine ), but it was the thought that counted.   Actually I was pleasantly surprised she got all the words out.

The camping equipment arrived today, cannot wait until next weekend. I'd like to thank Coleman for designing an airbed that is either a king, two twins, or a double stacked twin, which is what someone of my size enjoys.

If you bought the half-price tickets, they were only good that weekend.  If you were there opening, why didn't you make yourself known?

The Lovely Lady Trinn and I will be pulling in this Friday evening around 7ish for the happiest weekend I have had at faire in a long while
1- Celebrating the birth of a new grandson!
2- Celebrating my 11th birthday!
3- Celebrating getting my masters degree!

I know, I know.  I did see ya'll later that afternoon, but I was worn out and headed back to camp to start the beef stew for everyone.  NEXT TIME, I will make the effort to sit and talk with ya'll for a bit.
