Thanks to all for the advance welcome.  I'm not sure how big this faire is, but I will be there with my 3 "boy toys," a phrase that was coined at the M'Crack gathering in Tennessee last year.  One day for sure will be Scottish - and it's hard to miss the bright colors of the Buchanan tartan.  The rest depends on the weather.  But there might also be pirates.  Arrrrrrgggggg...

Seriously, Nim and I are still very much hoping to be able to squeeze in a trip to Castleton this season, even if it's a quick one.  Being with friends right now would be most helpful and supportive. We will lay my mum to rest on the morrow. Blissfully, a short time at the hands of cancer. I honestly am not sure if I should be feeling grief or relief that she didn't suffer horribly for a long period of time. Archer and Moyra have been a great help to me emotionally. They are very good friends.
