Merlin, pictures of the public celebration will suffice, lol.

Hear, hear! You are required to post pics!  ;)

That wish came true for most of the day.

There was lots of energy there today.   That crew is ready for some Renfaire.   8) 8) 8)

I had a great time at the dress rehearsal for the cast. Now I'm ready for The Castle to open and get started. I'll post a few pic's tomorrow evening.

Same here Coch and looking forward to viewing your pic collection from Sunday.

I'll vow that it was not easy to leave the big party and great people from this forum that were attending Merlin and Nim's big day event last Saturday.

My foot blisters and I argued over leaving Scarborough vs. making it back for the dress rehearsal at Castleton.  Both days at both locations were great.   I try to figure out how to get Moyra's pictures from Saturday and Sunday loaded someplace where you  can link to see them.  Now the trick is how to get back into work mode after fully escaping for two days into the fun zone.

No longer sure we will be able to attend at all this season, since we now have no vehicle.  We're going to try and figure out something, but I have no idea at this point.

Rani, I do hope you get the chance to make it.  But foremost I hope your car situation works out the best way that it can. I know that car trouble can be a heavy burden.

Archer, I am glad you were able to join us, but regret you had to choose between the two.

Archer, I would be more than happy to "card you", as you put it, anytime... and particularly if there is ale (or cider) involved!  ;)  If we make it out there this season, I will be sure to bring my cards along.

Coch, I thank you for the well wishes.  I am busily wracking my brain trying to come up with a viable solution, but it may take a while... and in the meantime I'm just going to hope something works out in our favor!

wrack 2 also rack (rk) n.
1. a. Wreckage, especially of a ship cast ashore.
    b. Chiefly British Violent destruction of a building or vehicle.

2. a. Dried seaweed.
    b. Marine vegetation, especially kelp.

v. wracked also racked, wrack·ing also rack·ing, wracks also racks
v.tr. To cause the ruin of; wreck.
v.intr. To be wrecked.
[Middle English wrak, from Middle Dutch.]

Hmm?   Maybe the power of positive thought without brain wracking ?      ;D

So, what do the cards say ?   Will it be rain or shine for opening cannon on opening day in just . . .  10 more days ?     ;D ;D ;D

No stacking that deck in advance  . . . mkay ?
