What: The Ettes and Teers Auction
When: Saturday, May 24th at 12:30 PM
Where: The back area behind the Washing Well Wenches

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Ettes and Teers Auction.
The auction will begin at 12:30 PM sharp. We are on a time schedule due to the fact that Giacomo from Empty Hats will be our auctioneer. He has graciously agreed to do this between his shows.

We will have Queen Elizabeth up for bid first.
We then have seven Teers and six Ettes up for bid.
Bacardi's little buddy Blue will be bid last.

Note: The day for the winner of the Queen will be worked out between Queen Elizabeth (SyRilla) and the winner.  Blue's time will be spent with the winner on Sunday and it will be all day. Blue requests only one thing:  that lots of pictures be taken of him with performers and R/F members alike for his  composition 'What I did AGAIN on my Summer Vacation.'  8)

Opening bids will start at 10.00 and go from there. No one will know who is in what envelope.
We will be bidding on Ette #1, Teer #1, Ette #2, Teer #2 etc.
ONLY R/F MEMBERS MAY BID.
This keeps Bubba with the overalls and the Mountain Dew from bidding.
As soon as the auction is over, we will be collecting the money from the winning bidder and he/she will then be given the envelope.

Ettes will be from 1:30-3:30.
Then between 3:30 and 4:00, meet at the Red Hook Pub to then change off for the Teers which will be from 4-6.

IF you have a problem at any time, please see me. I have employed some of our brawnier R/F members to act as 'bouncers' for lack of a better word.

All money will go to the Rennies RESCU Fund.

And for an ending to this, we will be playing Musical Men. If you need to know what it is like, well, we play this at BARF but we use men instead of chairs!
A few men have been known to collapse under the um...'enthusiasm' of the gentler sex.
Craig of Farrington has agreed to be our balladeer.

If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to post them here.

Thanks Welsh Wench. I was hoping we would have the auction again. I enjoyed escorting the fair lady, I bid on. will there be an advance description, simular to last year.

Welsh Wench

No, this year it will be 'blind bids' where you won't know who is in the envelope.

We have more people up for bids and we are running a bit on time.

The only known bids will be Syrilla  (The Queen)and Blue.

I am hoping everyone gets there by 12:30 PM sharp so I can review the rules.
Giacomo of Empty Hats is our auctioneer and he has graciously consented to do this between shows.

Lady Nicolette spoke with Lady Ettie who is a member of the RESCU foundation.

Lady Ettie said that MasterCard, Lady Visa, Discover and American Express CAN be used for paying the winning bids. She will have the machine and slips with her.

This could get VERY interesting.   :)

At 12:30 sharp I will be reiterating all the rules and such. Please help me out by being on time. As Athena pointed out, we are trying to work around Giacomo's schedule and we can show our appreciation by being on time and bidding in a timely fashion.
Thanks!

Ladie Ettie being there will be interesting enough.  ;D

Huzzah to her and Giacomo for offering their services, and the Queen for so graciously agreeing to be part of the auction!

May I bring my "friend" to the Musical Men game?

Now this could be interesting, a Roman Catholic monk winning Queen Elizabeth I.... ;)

I'm looking forward to this weekend!  I hope the winner is ready to move at a Queen's pace.  Hahaha  (if you have never seen it, then follow one around for 30min!)

I would warn of one thing: While the Queens pace can at times resemble that of a narcoleptic snail, she can (and will) outrun you in full garb if she needs to do so to make her next station. Well, maybe not you, but she can me 'cause I'm old and slow.

UPDATE

Our thanks to all who participated in the Ettes and Teers auction! Because of your willingness to part with your money on the unknown and the generosity of those willing to donate their faire time, we were able to donate over 1600.00 to the RESCU foundation.
Queen Elizabeth and Blue were auctioned off along with five Ettes, seven Teers and our Queen Bonnie. RESCU pins and CDs were donated to the cause.

The next morning, three bottles of Menage Ette Trois table wine was generously donated and auctioned off bringing in 90.00.

Thank you to Giacomo who started the auction off and to Captain Bacardi who finished in his place.
Yes, Bacardi, the bird once again went for more than you did....but look who 'bought' you!  ;)

The only problem was, 'Who's going to tell that nun over there that he/she is standing in poison ivy?'

Again, many thanks to all.

Until next year's Memorial Day Weekend auction at ETTE 4 remember you may also support this very worthwhile charity from the privacy of your very own home at the RESCU web site.

To #1 - Hip, Hip HUZZAH! (lather, rinse, repeat)  SO Glad to see such generosity for such a worth cause!!!

As to #2 - poison ivy has no effect on us scurvy typesa' ... NOW the poison ivy is gettin' treatment for Spleen, Wolfe, n' Molden!  :D One of two things can only happen - either it'll not grow back next year...

OR it'll be REALLY BAD!

WONDERMOUS job ya'll did pulling the whole she-bang together Darlin'!

I highly recommend bidding on Ettes!  I had the very good fortune of winning two of the auctions!

To Queen Bonnie and Lavender: Your grace, beauty and ability extol all the virtues of yours truly in the lanes (fictitious or not) made this Rendezvous most memorable for me.  Thank you both.

My wife won't let me bid on the Ettes ... she says it takes away from our beer money  ;D
